TIPS AND TRICKS IN RECOGNIZING THE KEY, CHORDS, NOTES, TUNES, AND SCALES USED IN A SONG QUICKLY

Many people can play instruments like guitar or piano but having difficulties to get the right key, chords, notes, and scales used in a song they want to learn. These people are the ones who do need a copy of the musical arrangement of a song, which they should have in front of them to enable them to play the song correctly.  There is nothing wrong about that, it is the easiest, quickest, and convenient approach in making the job done. In contrast to that, there are people that have this God-given talent when it comes to music, that if they hear a song or musical arrangement, they can actually remember it very clearly on their mind and they can apply it in an instrument and sing it well in a perfect tune. This talent is called "OIDO" which means "ear" or the "power of listening".  In addition, I believe that everything is possible to achieve if you practice and work hard for it. The following are some important trick to enhance not only your hearing but also your knowledge when it comes to music:

•         Listen to music if you are really into music.
•         Do not just listen with your ear and do not be stress, use your mind and heart         when you listen.
•         If you did not get it, listen repeatedly and again.
•         If you are a guitarist, drummer, bass player or whatever, try to separate the             sound of the instruments from the song. (This trick works for me very well)              little by little but accurate.
•         Listen to the vocal tunes (the changing of pitch/ tunes/ transitions).
•         Study all about regarding music
•         Basic DOREMI 
•         Theories in regards to musical notes/pitches
•         Theories in regards to chords and how they are formed (formulas).
•         Musical scales
•        The family of chords (A big help and combination to good hearing practices) it         will make your recognition very easy.
•         Make friends with people who can exchange knowledge with you in regards            to music.
•         Practice at least 2 hours per day (intense).
•         Master these basic tips and tricks and eventually you will be a better player              and every song will be a piece of cake for you.
